Great Lakes Habitat and Reforestation Alliance

When the world breaks, we don't look away--we rebuild.

We plant life where the ground's gone barren, offer shelter where hearts been left out in the rain, and prove that hope ain't lost--it just needs someone to fight for it.

GLHRA stands where light meets grit, healing land, protecting life, and giving new beginnings a fighting chance.

Indiana has lost about 85% of its original wetlands. shrinking from an estimated 5.6 million acres down to about 813,000 acres.

WE'RE NOT WAITING FOR A CHANGE-WE'RE MAKING IT. WE ARE THE LIGHT AFTER THE STORM

2025

Introducing GLHRA: We are a new 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit foundation committed to healing the land, protecting the voiceless, and uplifting those left behind through environmental renewal, humane care, and community revival.

Our leadership team includes President and Founder Daniel Collins, VP Eric Woods, Project Director Doug Belcher, Secretary Jasmine Collins, and Treasurer Kevin Sheuberg—together, they embody our mission to restore lives and habitats, fostering growth, purpose, and legacy in Northeast Indiana.

The Great Lakes Historical Restoration Association (GLHRA) is dedicated to preserving the past while planting seeds for the future. We breathe new life into forgotten landscapes and underserved communities through hands-on education, agricultural initiatives, and historic preservation. GLHRA is the light after the storm—where growth, purpose, and legacy take root.

"Communities Can Rise from Hardship, Nurturing Both Land and People to Sow Seeds of Hope and Restore Harmony for a Brighter Future."    --Eric Woods
